Heitinga (again)........

He's clearly frustrated since it's obvious he loves being an Everton player and he hasn't had the chances he deserved after last seasons excellent form, i feel sorry for him really i'd be ****ing pissed.

He's obviously not doing something right in order for moyes to drop him, if he can't grasp this then he shouldn't be getting paid to play football

Of course, it's all Heitinga's fault lad. Not like Moyes has favourites who he'll play regardless of form or anything.

I like Heitinga as a CB but like others I think its just unfortunate he is 3rd best in the clubs eyes.

He did win 'fans' player of the year, where as Distin won players player of the year which speaks volumes to me.
Most people on these web boards were in uproar when the fans showed their support by clapping Kenwright at the Villa game, but not so much when they voted Heitinga as their player of the year?

Ridiculous comparison.

People don't see or understand what goes on off the pitch, hence the clapping Kenwright. Hardly comparable to them voting the best player from what they've watched all year.

putting it out there, could he not play the gibson role while gibson is injured? defensive mid?

Id rather he never, but if it keeps Neville out of the midfield then im all for it.
But id like Fellaini and Osman or Osman and Ofoe(if we get him) to play the CDM/CM role whilst Gibson is injured.

turkish transfer deadline is still open maybe fenerbache who he clains were after him will come in with a bid 5 mill or upwards and we can let him go and stop hearing about his moaning at out been picked!! jags wasnt gettin a game last year you never heard him moan!!!

He was our player of the season last year, he's got better defensive stats than Jags from last season and just because Holland did badly at the Euro's is no reason to drop him. Going on that basis you wouldn't put Van Persie in our starting 11 because he was shocking yet he's got 4 goals in 3 games.

To my mind it should be Jags trying to force Heitinga out. Jags is a really good player but can get get caught for pace sometimes and imo makes more mistakes than Heitinga, plus his tendancy for hoofball hurts how well we retain possession.

Heitinga riles opposition strikers too, Jags is a bit too nice. The shoulder barge on Cole before his missed penalty, Suarez's rugby tackle in the semi final. Heitinga knows how to wind up other players and put them off their game.

I think the Fans Player of the Year has been a really fair reflection of the best player each season. The fans seem to be really fair\knowledgeable in their choices.

cant really agree with you there mate heitinga maybe more of a ball player than jags but end of the days a centre backs job is to keep other side from scoring and think jags is an all togheter better cb than heitinga as for the fans player of the year it can be cos hes more popular than others im sure even dennis straq got a few votes from fans last year even through he wasnt close to be out best player but was very popular amongst fans!!

At the end of the day, I saw him out in Manchester once with Daniel Agger and Nigel De Jong.

He's a disgrace to this great club for associating himself with those two and i'll be glad to see the back of him.

If you don't lose possession they can't score. Jags often gifts the ball to the opposition, which puts us under pressure straight away. All about opinions but we conceded less goals with Heitinga in the team than Jags last season.

I can't pick a bad choice out of any of the winners from the fans player of the year over the last few years. Which one do you disagree with?

Saying Straq got voted for by a few people is pointless, he didn't win it and I bet every player in our squad got voted for by a few people. The whole point of a poll is the majority choose the winner.

If you're going to criticize the validity of the fans player of the season you should point out a player who won it unfairly, otherwise your argument isn't really based on much.

If you're going to criticize the validity of the fans player of the season you might want to actually point out a player who won it unfairly, otherwise your argument isn't really based on much.
