He's spot on.

If he came out and said he thinks we can still get Champions League, he'd look a [Poor language removed].

As loath as we seem to be to admit it, we're not in any position to get better than 8th

I was just going to say how it's funny that an interview in the more measured Guardian has him mentioning the economic difference but comparing the fighting spirit at Everton to the Dutch team in reaching the WC final. While in the more sensationalist Mirror he's spouting stuff that gets the fans' backs up.

Conclusion 1. The mirror asks questions fishing for something infammatory and gets the answers it's hoping for.

Conclusion 2. the Mirror is full of shiz and use inference to write the story they want.


Neither conclusion would surprise me
