In the street or while you were out and about and what did you do with it?
Not talking pennies here but anything over a fiver, or anything else valuable that you might have found.
Will check back later today to tell you about the time I found some.

I found a purse on the bus once, checked inside to see if there was a name, found out the owner didn't live far from mine and there was about 100 quid in it too.

Instead of giving the driver the purse I took it to the owner who was very grateful, so grateful she gave me twenty quid.

I found £90 in the street near my mam and dad's house a few years back. It was in a roll at the end of a driveway.

I went to the house and knocked on the door, asking if they might have dropped "something" on the way into the house.

An old lady answered the door and looked a bit flummoxed...she then told me that she had lost her pension money that day...£90.

I felt like Spiderman when I handed it over.

Found a wallet once with a significant amount of money in it. Like €200+
I handed in to the cop shop.

I recently dropped my wallet and the same was done for me.

A friend of mine found a wallet once with over €2000 in it. Handed it in to the cop shop. The owner arrived in as he was there filling out details and they didn't even say thanks. Ffs

Iv found money several times. Found 25 quid the other week in asda car park. Finders keepers like..

Once found a purse and returned it to the owner.. No thanks. Once found mark lawrensons wallet in a restaurant, no thanks from him either, no surprise..

Found a fiver on the floor on the middle of a bridge in a market town once. It was 4am and no one about so I bagged it. That's all really.

I always dream of finding a bag of money buried or something, then some Fargo style drama to ensue..

earliest memory of finding cash was sitting in a car outside someones house , i must have been around 10. A 20 pound note blew down the road. I remember seeing it thinking that doesnt look like just a piece of paper. was in the middle of nowhere so noone to return it to.

Found a wallet with 1200 aussie dollars in it back in 1999. didnt hesitate and called the international number in the wallet and it turned out to be their folks back in Ireland and the loser was a fellow backpacker ,the 1200 was a rental deposit for a house , the person I spoke to was lovely and really grateful so agreed a hand over in a pub. I got a bus across Sydney to hand it over and the loser barely said thanks , didnt even buy me a drink let alone offer to give me the bus fare. wasnt pleased with that.

Worked in pubs for years so found fivers and tenners here and there but once , again in Sydney a guy dropped 5 x 50 dollar bills by the bar when he was ordering. he was a proper bell aswell. A massive tool. i mean one of those guys who treat the staff like plebs. Must say I did think of not giving it back for a second but I did. I did get something in return that timeso it ended well.

I'm hoping karma repays me today...£10 on 4-3 to Everton for a £1,010 return.

Found £10 in 1968 in Chester Zoo car park. My parents made me hand it in to the parking attendant who claimed that he would hand it over to "Lost Property".

Still grieving now
