I think as ive got older ive become more of a nihilist. This obsessive behaviour for part of the planet you just happen to be born on now just intrigues me. We're entering a real weird place now in history with the introduction of technology and social media. Its like someone has sprinkled angry dust over the planet. Its highlighted and escalated the fact human beings are fcking morons 🤣

Saturday night, even with no Everton the stella and the angry dust it floweth...

Don’t think they should mess with a national flag tbh, although not especially bothered.
I’m more annoyed at the thought that Nike wouldn’t dare use colours that could be considered associated with Bi-Sexual rights / LGBTQ on the Stars and Stripes of a kit for a US National Team.
They changed the stripes on the crest to rainbow colours for Qatar but were then stopped from doing it because you know, ugh, woke!

It still needs pointing out that Nike have not "messed" with the national flag in this case anyway. They have based a design on a part of the flag which has being going on the years.

Muricans showed zero interest in football for a long time. Once they started to show a bit of interest in the 80s there was talk that they wanted to change it for murica ... bigger goals, higher scores, razzmatazz, quarters etc. Bugger off!

Now there's money in the game and the murican businesses are suddenly all over the game like a rash. Our national kit is made by a US company, with no tradition in the game, that excels at marketing cheaply uncreatively designed bland wear with its brand logo at stupid costs. They got this particular kit, in a run of bad kits, badly wrong in the eyes of lots of English, whether you think they're over reacting or not.

I'm not really bothered about the flag - it stands for a weak nation broken by the invading Normans and ruled and used cruelly by an aristocracy elite ever since - today pulling strings behind the veneer of democracy. However, I am bothered by what particular brand got it wrong. Bugger off!
So you’re saying it would be ok if Umbro had done it?

No probably not - because it's a nationally recognised emblem and nit fir one design team to muck about with on a national kit. I feel the same way about the Olympics kit. It's just worse if it's done by a design team from a different nation- disrespectful. And I get that umbro probably hasn't been British for a while. The way things are going I'm expecting my back garden to be sold off to foreign investors, by our government, before too long.
