Has the transfer window cost us?

Yup. And scouting. And having back up list of players.

We stopped looking and ended our transfer business at 7pm on the last day of the window from what I've read. We packed up, bought a youth, and went home with 5 hours left in the window

We 'scouted' Holtby.. Made enquiries about Butland.
Both went for small beer.

So in answer to the OP, yes, I think it has cost us.. But my own personal opinion, and before you do, dont, as its only my opinion.. our season changed at Elland Road.

The transfer window was nothing short of a disaster for the club in terms of not just this season but also probably the medium term future of the club. Anyone who cant see this is hopelessly deluded. Moyes still not found that pen? It isnt happening chaps.

Isn't it Moyes's choice to make the transfers? At the end of the day Twente never agreed to the deal and we pulled out, sensible thing to do.

A manager will give the board his targets, and then it is up to the board to sign them. We didnt sign anyone, so what does that tell you. I still think we should have signed Fer, it was simply pennypinching. If not though there should have been lots of other targets for us to move for. We started way way too late, and Moyes himself has confirmed that was not his idea.

Didn't Kenwright say once ''David Moyes makes the decisions around this club''?

If only there was more players than Fer available though...just our luck that when we had €10M to spend there was no players left to buy because they were all rubbish or were satisfied to stay put.

Oh well. Bill tried I suppose.

I'm still not entirely convinced that there was money available, given some of the skulduggery conducted by this board in the past. If there was, it probably only amounted to a deposit and was borrowed with a promise to be paid back to the borrower in the summer anyway. Time will tell I suppose. The only certain thing is that finances of the club have not improved one iota.

I would say a failure to put away Newcastle, Fulham, and Norwich earlier in the season when we were leading late has cost us. Failing to beat Reading when they were on on ****e run at the start of the season has cost us. And the inability to put away Swansea and Villa recently has cost us. But it's all the fault of the transfer window obviously.

All signs that improvements were needed in January yes?
