Has it all gone a bit wrong?

But it is true.. it's an argument a twelve year old would make.

Listen pal, you're not doing yourself any favours with this.

Petty arguments and the like are not encouraged. We like to encourage sensible debate and generally sound posting. Let's drop the bickering.

Unless of course, we lose the first game 10-0 with the players running around with their shorts on their heads, waving flags and sporting pointy hats with a big D on it, in some king of bizarre new tactic.

Give RM a chance for heavens sake, our ex-manager is not doing so well in his new surroundings and has fared worse than RM.

Aye true that. Just read before that United got beat by Sevilla at home in Ferdinand's testimonial so thought I'd have a quick look at their thoughts on one of their forums while making a sensational bacon and HP butty for breakfast.

They're a bit edgy like. The fun starts here with the third goal going in. They're also getting onto him being one bad slouch in the transfer market, they'll have to get used to that.

Obviously Im conveniently swerving the good bits like a scorned lover but when they start sitting on one goal leads I reckon it will be too much for them.

Anyway, point in order, we should swerve threads like this even if this one was done in jest to parody lids going over the top with reactions in pre season. If I logged on here as an opposition fan and seen this I wouldn't know it was a wind up and assume Everton fans were bad blerts.

Were not like, were just bad arlarses but I'm comfortable with that.

The vast majority of comments that are apparently "whinging/moaning/doom-mongering" are simply raising reasonable concerns that - and mark my words here - many of which will be proved very reasonable over the next 12 months.

What is annoying is how many posters are translating reasonable posts like: "I worry a bit about our ability to defend in the new system under Martinez" into "ERMAHGERD WE'RE GERDDIN RERLERGERTERD" to try and make a joke of their opinion as they, for some strange reason, want to live in a bubble of ignorant positivity. The fact is, our current situation isn't 100% rosy. I'm pretty sure no one's club is.

The whinging and gobsh*tery is often coming from those moaning about people moaning. In another thread someone's just posted that Martinez keeping Wigan up for three years and then getting them relegated in the fourth was the greatest achievement in the premier leagues recent history. I mean, f*cking hell. Really? Righty ho. It really is like reading RAWK when Kenny was in charge, in some pockets of the board.

I'm glad some posters are raising concerns as it's only natural as we've just had a manager who did a brilliant job here leave after 11 years and it's what separates us from the kopites of this world.

If I reckon we're going to concede a shed-load more goals than last year and fail to score enough due to us spending £5m and £50k a week on an average striker, I'm not going to pretend I don't. Ta, x.

Still, there is plenty to be positive about. RM has inherited a great group of lads here that will have no qualms about changing their playing style and are professional as they come. In that sense, it is a dream job to get. He's been given a great chance here and he's shown some promising signs. I'm sure he'll look to address any shortcomings the team has, like Moyes would have and will have his own shortcomings, like Moyes did.

Until we see some premier league games, however, everything is still relatively uneducated guesswork. Pre-season means next to nothing.

Exactly mate. So those brimming over the top with visions of grandeur and those predicting a total meltdown aren't doing themselves any favours and only polarising the opposite strong opinions of others on here leading to futile bickering in threads.

Lets do the Everton thing and see how it goes. Anything else is tittish.
