Has Fellaini really got a £22m buyout clause in his contract ?

Loads of ITK's are reporting it, which means it's not happening.

Just been looking at his account and his pictures are of news stories off David Villa going to Liverpool, Tom Ince going to Liverpool and Arda Turan going to Liverpool Sneijder to Liverpool, Alsonso to Liverpool, and DZEKO to liverpool, there is others too

I don't think this really matters. Fellaini seems to want to go to Chelsea (hopefully has more class then to want to go to City) and, although they seem interested in him at the moment, they won't buy him until the summer. In fact, if Abramovich still has thoughts of bringing in Pep Guardiola (following yesterday's announcement by Pep that we wants to get back into management) then Chelsea won't waste money buying big name players now as they'll have to save up to buy Iniesta and Messi for the new manager. I'm not sure that Fellaini is the type of player that Guardiola would go for, but I could be wrong.

The jan transfer window causes mayhem. It's a grouse shoot for the top 4- the rest of the prem being the grouse. We're doing well at the moment but the Fellani business could derail us whether he goes or not. Not trying to be dramatic but I think this situation always breeds ill feeling.

I really don't see the difference between Chelsea and City. They both got were they are by having very wealthy benefactors.

If he is going, all I am arsed about is who is willing to pay the most.

More than any footballer Chelsea want Guardiola as manager.Benitez is hoping to covince the owner that he is the right man for the job,but the fans dislike of him makes that appointment even more unlikely.

I think that it is unlikely that Chelsea will buy a player like Fellaini for up to 30m without the approval of the new manager. They have made that mistake too often.

I think Fellaini intends leaving in the summer. We will have to wait and see how many clubs are interested and how many of those could afford the release clause.

Who pays agents fees etc if the release clause is activated ? are the costs taken from the fee or is the release clause paid to the selling club and costs then borne by the buying club, that would be a very important factor in a deal such as this.I would imagine that loyalty bonuses will not apply as the player is chosing to leave rather than the club deciding to sell.

Yes, and with the commercial savvy of our Board then I'm sure all of this will have been considered.........

Guardiola isn't going to Chelsea though, Abramovich is going to have the shock of his life when the only people in the market are Benitez, Pardew & Di Matteo

I'd well take 20million plus Lescott from City.

But I can't see Fellaini moving to City, as he knows that he may struggle to get a game there.

Haha, I would love that! Although, to be fair, I think Di Matteo will be a good manager if given time to settle a team in.

He was the one that built West Brom up into the unit it is now.

Maybe we can keep Fellaini, Chelsea get Moyes and we get RDM, I'd be ok with that he seems a nice bloke.
