Has Fellaini really got a £22m buyout clause in his contract ?

The same article suggests Chelsea will try to bid lower than the 'release clause' because they know how skint we are.

A sell on clause that can only be acted upon in the summer by a champions league team, and the club who are due to sign him aren't even going to bother activating the release clause anyway? AS IF!

At best it's a load of hot hair, at worst it's a way of getting people talking about Fellaini and his value during the transfer window.

If a club offers 22m for Fellaini and he wants to go, he's gone. No need for any 'release clause' bollox.

I agree with this, and I personally feel a 22million valuation is about right. But it would still be disappointing if there is a release clause, because there have been instances in which other clubs get stupid and end up paying well over the odds for a player. If we are going to sell him, it would have been good to at least try that.

If Fellaini goes, I fear for Moyes departure because selling our best players at this time will destroy our season. Don't [Poor language removed] it up Bill.

felli is the best young midfielder in the prem ,maybe europe ...and bill lets him have a clause to get out for peanuts.

No one lets anyone have anything. These are all negotiated and there's a reason for each and every one of them. It's not as if any club can dictate whatever contract terms it pleases, this isn't a video game.

He's not going anywhere now. Even the Times article only talks about a possible bid in the summer.

Marouane Fellaini is going nowhere so flapping lids, same as Baines it is silly season and even Bill isnt that daft to sell them two behind Moyes back.

If Felli is World Class we can reasonably expect > £33M, whereas if he's not World Class then surely we can expect a minumum of £33M. The lad is a better all round palyer than Modric....Modric is very good but one-dimensional (and has **** hair). Felli can play extremely well in a number of positions.

Really? Really?

Im not Kenwrongs biggest fan, by any means, but im 99% sure no player has ever been sold without Moyes say so.

You can extend that to anything of any importance around the club. Pound for pound I don't think there's another manager in the league that has as much power across all aspects of the club

Im not sure what you mean.

I mean nothing happens at Goodison without Moyes being happy or at least the belief that Moyes would be happy. I've had a few small dealings with the club and the response in each case was predicated on Moyes being in agreement even though it was a small thing and had no real impact on anything to do with the playing side. It really shocked me.

Old bacon face might have more/comparable power at United but given how big the club is I can't see him getting so involved.

David Moyes didnt sign the Kitbag deal, hes a clever man, only an utter moron would sign that deal.

There is no way this 22 mil buy out clause is real other wise someone would of activated it by now. I really belive there roumors that we make up our selfs then the papers get hold of them go with them and were sat here going I can't belive the print such bollocks.

Didn't sheeds say inquires where made and we told them we weren't listening to offers this transfer window. So unless someone comes in with a crazy bid soon he ain't going anywhere.

Summer on the other hand ill be surprised if he lasts the first week July.
