Has Fellaini really got a £22m buyout clause in his contract ?

I would be surprised if there wasn't such a clause in his contract. When he signed last contract, we were getting to point where he was coming into last 2 years of contract and we needed him to commit. This was the bargaining position. He signs but wanted a reasonable get out clause if club didn't give him CL football that he wants. Fair compromise really. He could have just let his contract run down and screw us out of a big fee.

end of the day if we never had a release clause the club would of made it clear such a clause doesnt exist.

By the sounds of things we dont want to risk losing him in january so wont admit to a clause in the event of someone activating it, £22 million is a ****ing disgrace cant believe what goes on at this club the sooner those panzer ****s at our board room do one the better terrible negioating we could of got better than that without him signing a new deal joke.

to be fair, i would do he same if I was his agent.
Its in their interest.

agree mate like I said earlier we as a club get hounded more than anyone in regards of trying to unsettle our best players when do any of the other clubs recieve this sort of attack? Redknapp attacked the press last summer over modric getting the same treatment felli and baines have had Moyes should come out and tell the press to **** off Rodgers, Boas, Wenger etc. would do.
