2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Correct. Which is why it’s clearly better for him to stay on loan. Different manager with different approach to young players then I’d have said stay at Everton. Some people want to look at the situation and completely ignore Moyes’s record!

Thats why the owners should be considering moyes future for this reason amongst others

But the recruitment set up wasn't even place for the summer. It was Moyes, a bunch of scouts and a CEO. That's been Moyes recruitment set up for the last 20 odd years.
But they were all nominated, everyone knew who they were and they were joining Everton upon then end of their notice period / gardening leave.
Officially or not, they will all have had their say imo.

Training with first team players would have been good for his development too, but I am sure if he had played yesterday who knows he may have got stick in a very poor team performance .....
Exactly, we want to be able to watch the lad grow and come back a stronger and better allround player, mentally and physically more prepared.

We dont want to see another lad being thrown to the wolves, due to gametime.

Having a say and having an influence would be 2 seperate things I'd say. Put it this way I don't think they were ever in meetings together or it worked remotely how it would moving forward, just more of a run it by them or suggestion. Regardless, Moyes needed a telling off for how he's been handling the new signings. There's next to no long term in mind with how Moyes is using his squad.

Maybe so, but then whoever allowed a fella on a 2.5y contract to dictate the strategy for signing players on 4 & 5 year contracts needs questioning too.
Completely agree, but that's the reality of the situation we are in now. Also the conversations they had with Moyes involved talk about him moving upstairs after 2.5 years and bringing a younger coach through, possibly Baines or Coleman. At least that's what I was told. Whether he lasts that long is another matter!

Yeah and the main person who's going to assist with the recruitment is James Smith, who Moyes chose. He'll have an input, but it's Moyes who makes the final call. Either way, it's all on Moyes.
