2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

And shown little other than control the ball and play a short safe pass. Not exactly the second coming of Gareth Bale that some posters saw him as
When Gareth Bale was 19, he was being linked with a £3m move to Birmingham. I don’t get this obsession some Blues fans have with writing off young players, just convinced you all do it so you can get in the 'told you so' shout if they do ultimately don't live up to expectations, it's sad really.

Transcript of a some of the Preston North End Weekly podcast:

“And then second half, we appeared to have like a future England captain just striding around for us in midfield.”

“How good was he second half? Harrison Armstrong, man of the match, obviously. The guy just didn't stop.

He's wearing five. He looks the part. He looks a million dollars like.

Bloody hell. Not surprised he's keeping his place in the team. His third starting six days.

I mean, you can't take him out. Guy's absolutely class. He's 18 and walks around like he's...

He's screaming Andrew Hughes first half. Absolutely give him fuppin pelters when he didn't get the ball or something. Yeah.

He might be going back in January, to be honest.

This guy's 18. I can't believe it. To watch him.

He's 18. Everton must be a serious side. They must be outstanding to not have this lad in their ranks.

Jesus Christ. More you see, he must have an absolute embarrassment of riches if he can't get in. Oh my God, how good he was.

Just... I just can't describe how he... Just savour the man while he's here.

Well, the boy. He's 18 for heaven's sake. I absolutely loved the foul in stoppage time yesterday.

Yeah, that was wild, wasn't it?”

“Well, it was wild, but still, almost as if like it was the start of the game with his energy into the tackle. Absolutely smashed. Was it Ben Mee or whoever it was?

Well, Ben Mee, that again. Played at the highest level for years. And then you got an 18 year old fuppin taking you out in stoppage time, smashing you.

You're up in the air. You're on like row 15 at Finney. You're at the absolute top of your arc because you're at the deck.

Fantastic tackle, took the other card, it was great. But yeah, great player. Just has more time than everyone.

Playing in different air almost. Fabulous player.

A matter of time before Armstrong on my face is swirling around Deepdale and other championship stadium.

Tell you what, if you had like an 18 year old daughter, you get in there in Harrison Armstrong circles, don't you? You want your daughter marrying Harrison Armstrong.

He's going to have a fine life. Yeah.

This guy's going to the top. Really good looking fella. Just couldn't tell he smells nice as well.

It's a bit odd, he's 18, so I need to be careful.”
This started off a good read and then got deeply weird by the end haha

Further to my point on Moyes and value for money 'utility' players...

He joined the club from SC Freiburg on an initial loan deal, which will be made permanent for £18M if the Toffees maintain their top-flight status.

“We'll keep edging him in and getting him through when we can.

“It would be easier to put him in if we had games in Europe — it's a bit harder when you're having to win a Premier League game and you only get one go at it.

“But we've been hugely impressed by him,” the Everton boss added.

The addition of Röhl brings welcome competition to the Everton midfield, which has been helmed by James Garner and Idrissa Gueye. While Tim Iroegbunam has also featured in games, he has blown hot and cold. Röhl also brings different elements to the Everton midfield, including his physicality, which could benefit the side in different game states, with his versatility also being lauded by his manager.

“He can play so many roles. We would have no problem tucking him in off the sides or maybe even putting him as a full-back or a midfield player.

“He can play higher up or lower down, so he gives us quite a lot of flexibility,” said Moyes
Once we have superglued him back together that is ......he looks the part coming on v City but hope he can stay fit ....?

All this nonsense about age a City left back aged 20 undid us in the 2nd half ....

Don't know where you get that from. Like all Evertonians I want every player who pulls on the shirt to be a top player. But you can only go by what your eyes see. I want Barry to have slotted half a dozen by now and Dibling to have a few assists. From what I've seen of Dibling he can control the ball well and play the ball short okay. Time will tell.
