Mainoo is 21. Lewis Miley is 19 and hardly have a game. And Bergval is 19. I haven't seen a lot of him to be fair, but didn't think he was very good at Goodison last season, older and not as good as Armstrong has looked IMO.

My point is more neither have any other 18 central midfielders in the PL though.

I know. I just think people are going overboard on very little evidence. Joey actually wants Moyes sacked for sending him on loan.

When your only 18 and getting MOMs award for both Derby and PNE in a good physical league you have something worth developing i think Everton have handled him well. He isn't 19 till January

Like a broken record - if he thinks that win was beautiful football today - 3 points welcome - but we rode our luck - i spent time to watch him for Preston & he is a very capable midfielder even just as back up .....or better than what we have ATM ...

He’s not better than Tim or Merlin who are our back-up centre mids. He’s not getting many minutes here anytime soon.

Not sure i agree Joey. Look at today - we had Charlie and Tim both very good players sitting on the bench. Game time is good for the kid at his age. My point is to lesson expectations when he's still playing in the proverbial pub league
