He is only young like, so not gonna be overly concerned if he gets another loan out, but personally would like to see him given a chance with us.
He’s done well at a poor derby side, and we are gonna go into this season a bit light unless we are signing loads, so there must be a chance for him to play for us now.

He’s 18. If he’s still going out on loan at 20-21, then you question it. He’s only had a steady run of first team matches for 5 months of his life.

Yeah, it will definitely be a big concern if he goes on loan at 18.
Be even worse if he goes to loan at 20. Then all he can become is Jarrad Branthwaite.

Derby was a great loan for him.
He was playing men’s football, not age group and the result of every match mattered.
If he had ended up at a better team coasting to the end of the season it would have been a lot easier and less useful as an experience.
If he is not going to be a regular starter this season then he needs another loan for a full season at another championship team (Or the same one) for him to continue playing week in, week out in matches that matter. No point being in our first team squad and picking up a few minutes here and there or the odd start.
If he does as well as we think he might he can always be recalled in January if he is showing himself good enough to be a regular starter for us.
