I guarantee - just before the explosion, he said:

"Hey y'all, watch this!" Never fails. It's a fine old tradition.

You have to just know who those guys are and keep a safe distance.

I'll be emulating Texas Bill. Tube steak on the Fourth. It's what we do.

BTW, Bill - I got myself a load of smoked hot links from Black's in Lockhart through a friend. Whooeee. That's some good stuff.
 

Im going to DC tonight to watch some fireworks. Havent gone since 2001.

Haven't had that but I'm sure it's tasty. I don't think I've ever had a meat product from Texas that wasn't good. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

We are going up to Castaic Lake (it's near LA and it is beautiful) to BBQ and watch lake fired fireworks!!!
