Arsenals net spend is awesome... less than us and all the shites, spuds and jawdies etc. think us and them should be crowned moral champions of england. shame theirs no prizes or anything for that! b)

If the rumoured value of the Lescott deal is 24.5m, then apparently Moyes has a net spend of 500,000.

I suppose wages, signing on fee's etc can inflate that net spend some what. Something that NSNO and The People's Forum seem to omit.

Not good is it? But then the Rooney and Lescott money distort that picture slightly, in that we got over £50m for 2 players. Therefore, Moyes has spent a fair share of cash in the market (or he will have when he's spent the Lescott cash, which will presumably take his net yearly spend to about £5m?)

I think we come out in the middle of the PL spending table actually, and above Arsenal (5 year period, which is better than a simple year). People seem to forget that quite often a club will spend big for a season or two, then curb its spending, often even selling or releasing its assets to get back on an even keel (West ham, Portsmouth, Newcastle). In particular, newly promoted teams might do this in order to get their squads up to a standard that can compete.

But it's not great I agree.
