Some people might go overboard in their criticism but he hasn’t been good enough this season.

Probably his bestish game all season, but that isn’t saying much. Deserves credit for starting the goal though. It was good pressure and composure to get it to Sidibe. Wasn’t particularly great otherwise

i thought he was pretty bad to be honest. its fine if he does a few good things like those youve pointed out but i dont think theres an excuse for the long spells of ineffectiveness. Way too many safe passes backwards and 50/50s that he comes off worse in.

He shows he can do it. Id prefer him turfed out but youd have to hope Ancelotti can retrieve the situation and get our most expensive signing to contribute much more than he does.

ill be optimistic and hope that 5 out of 10 performance is the start of an upward curve now

He is no longer a number 10 and will never be number 10 for us again as far as I’m concern. The deeper role suits him better and his combative nature will serve him well.
We need ball carrier upfront.

I think people should stop judging him and expecting him to produce end product like a number 10.

Thought Gylfi Sigurdsson put in a better performance today against Burnley than a lot of people would have you believe. Still think he can step it up a bit, but it was good to see him putting tackles in and making a nuisance of himself.
