Way too slow and lethargic for today's PL. Needs to play in Spain or Italy or somewhere where the tempo is much lower.

I wanted to like Gylfi and he felt like an exciting signing, but the game just passes him by! I think he's now only useful for certain slow tempo matches or maybe lower team cup matches- but even then - if they are pacy powerful physical lower standard opposition I don't know what he does.
I know he did really well with goals & assists last year, I know he's got a nice attitude, very fit, good leadership qualities, but his play doesn't match what we need in the PL now. Unfortunately, whoever bought him here, (Walsh, Koeman) then had to keep playing him because of his price tag and he's just like a safe selection now. I don't get it. IN central midfield especially it doesnt work.

Hoping he’s out as early as January. He has ability however that is undermined by his character or lack of on the pitch. He hid the other night, as bad as anyone, even with throw ins he went away from it or didn’t move to make space. Didn’t want to know. Regardless of opposition, that is unacceptable.
