I think Walcott is a player who has always had dips and peaks in his career, there are lots of players like that.
The secret is that when he hits a trough that he is taken out of the team... something Marco Silva seems to struggle with generally.

True..in Wengers Arsenal there were a lot of very good players who were in and out of the team.

he can sit back and watch how a dynamic midfielder makes us tick, we’ll let him on for the odd 10 minute cameo to keep those stats up for when we cart him off to China

Siggy always makes the 'easy' stuff for a number 10 look like a huge effort and the 'difficult' stuff look easy when he has time and space, which is getting less and less as the athleticism of this league continually improves. Keep him as our new McFadden off the bench and bin in the summer.

Thought that iwobi was exactly that dynamic and that certainly made a huge difference in the team performance . I felt the clinical nature of sigurdsson compared to iwobi could also be seen though because the later should have scored and given one chance the Former buried it . Gives the manager opportunities to flex his managerial muscles and use them both within the 90 minutes .

He deserves a stint on the bench. Not sure that's even debatable anymore.

I would say though that having Gomes and Davies in the centre of the pitch drastically improved the supply line to the forward players. That being said however, Gylfi has generally been very poor this season.
