He's played well so far this season I think he just needs a rest. I think all the running he does in this system is bound to leave him jaded from time to time. Sit out the next one refreshed ready for the City game.

I don’t think the problem was Sigurdsson. He missed a sitter, but the real problem is that he and Tosun want to be the player that others play off of. I would have dropped Siggy for this game if I’d planned on playing Cenk at all. Neither make dangerous runs and both want the ball played to feet. One or the other and you’d have to say that Siggy is the preferred option for obvious reasons.

Reckon he's carrying a knock? There was a doubt on his fitness recently, perhaps back too soon?

He took that really nasty tackle at Chelsea so wouldn't surprise me mate if that had an effect.

Seems like the type of fella who tries to make himself available as much as possible
