Guillaume Hoarau on his way from PSG?

By the way, I'd say it's a loan deal with eye on a perm transfer.

He's not playing that much since first Gameiro, and then Zlatan went to PSG.

Come to us. Now.

EDIT: Market value of 6.5mil? We can't afford that, so loan it is.
He's not going to have a value of £6.5 million when he's only got six months left on his contract

Interesting, didn't know that.

On the other hand, if it's a loan-to-permanent deal, does it mean we HAVE to buy him at the end of next year? Would be stupid if he turns out ****e, but don't know how that works.

@BlueToffee: correct, I've seen they missed the ball a few times when it comes to value. Just came across it when googling

Drenthe was similar. Very rich club, player no longer needed. Loaned him out until his contract ran out.

We just didn't sign him up once he became a free.

No mate it just means we have an agreed fee ready for him if we wish to sign him.. Moyes doesnt loan unless this is an option. The only exception was Drenthe because his contract would be ended anyway. Similar for Hoarou

So if it is a loan do we get him for free in the summer if we do want him? Would rather go with that than pay 2 mil or whatever to find he's s*it.

Yeh pretty much. Its clever on our part. See what he is like, can he adapt, if he can give him a contract in the summer, if not we dont. Makes sense.

Correct. Just looked where Drenthe is playing at the moment. Signed a contract with a Russian 2nd Division club. Sad.

Seems a no brainier this deal if true, decent striker, another good squad signing, nominal fee or loan with view of permanent signing if he impresses. Bits I have seen of him looks a good payer powerful player just what we need .

Most players go to who will pay them the most money.

But some might forego that for a top 4,5,6 team, rather than a mid-table/relegation threatened team.

Who'd want to live in Sunderland anyway?
