Here is some stats on the dude.

Ligue 1
Apps: 114
Goals: 39
Assists: 18

Minutes per goal: 201
Total minutes played: 7828

Not a bad record with a decent disciplinary record of 12 bookings and being sent off once in his top flight career. Although it was not a direct red so for a big lad doesn't seem to be that snidey with it. Although he could just be good at not getting caught/punished for it.

This season he has seen less than 2 games worth of football if you add up the minutes he has been involved on the field(118 minutes over 6 appearances scoring one goal).

His strongest season was in 08/09 when he scored 17 in 33 appearances. Managing a goal every 162 minutes on the field.

since then he has become gradually less prolific due to less minutes on the field but still managed 5 in 20 during 11/12 scoring a goal every 156 minutes. Although he played only 799 minutes over those 20 games (Average of 39.95 minutes if we go by a mean).

Here is his injury record below.

Season from to Injury
11/12 25.08.2011 25.10.2011
09/10 18.10.2009 18.01.2010 Intraarticular ligament crack knee
08/09 03.05.2009 30.05.2009 tear in the abductor muscle

Overall I would be happy to sign him but we already have a couple of strong centre forwards in Anichebe and I am confident Vellos could play that role. I would much prefer it if we signed someone who can shoot with a lot of poer from outside the box but I can't think of any players who we could get for cheap that can do the Christian vieri role for us.

These stats were lifted from transfermarkt and I only managed to catch his goal earlier this season and it was alright but a bit lucky and have not seen much more of him.

Also I managed to find a screenshot of him on football manager. Not got his attributes though lads.x

I hope he was at the S'land game yesterday, surely should have warned him off. If he does come in, I guess Vellios should go out on loan..?

The way I see it jelavic is first choice. Vic is injury prone but can do a couple of jobs either up top lone striker or off the wings. Vellios whilst looking promising off the bench is not ready enough to be relied on apart from brief 10 mins whilst chasing a game.

This guy would provide good cover for very little money. I don't expect too much apart from another snr player in the squad. Which is what we need. By the sounds of bit it will be a loan which we can then decide in the summer if to make perminent. Good move IMO.

Equips says apart from offer from us he's weighing up one from China! Dalian Aerbin whoever they are!! "According to our sources" says the short article

This lad plays the "Anichebe" role for PSG and with Anichebe's injury record it could be a good move but in an ideal world I would like to see us get a bit more variety up front as we don't have anybody with great pace or can blast them outside the box. Straq could do the same job. I loved that guy.

Reported Everton and Sunderland target Guillaume Hoarau in talks to leave PSG

Paris Saint Germain have confirmed that forward Guillaume Hoarau is in talks with another club.

Everton and Sunderland have been strongly linked with a move for 28-year-old France international.

Hoarau is one of a number of fringe players being allowed to leave PSG this month, and boss Carlo Ancelotti confirmed during their winter training camp in Qatar that he could depart.

"Hoarau is talking with another team, but there is nothing official," said Ancelotti.

Whilst a move to England is being mentioned, it is also claimed that he could be set to seal a deal to China with Dalian Aerbin.
