Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Channeling his inner Wenger and blaming the referee lol Yeah he was a joke but I’m sure them going out has nothing to go with the 5-1 aggregate score or the zero shots at Anfield. He isn’t all that.

The score at HT should have 3-3 yesterday, which would have had City going through. RS would then have been forced to attack in the 2nd half leaving themselves open defensively and therefore conceding more most likely.

He should look at himself before the referee. This is a long running problem for Pep, for one thing he quite often struggles against Jürgen Klopp generally, so that is one issue. But another issue is that for 5 seasons in a row this happens in Champs League with him. He burns out his teams by the time the quarter or semi final arrive. Last night you knew they would go for it first half, they had to, but the tempo was to much to keep up, and their legs had gone by 2nd half. Same thing in the weekend against United I think (I only saw some of the 2nd half, they looked heavy legged to me), same against Liverpool last week. They didn't have the stamina or strength to match Liverpool for whole game. Same thing happened at Bayern with him. He doesn't learn, and I don't know why.

They had a goal wrongly disallowed at Anfield.

Criticism of Pep is laughable, him and Mourinho are the best managers in the league by a country mile. A different referee over those two legs and they annihilate Liverpool. No one is getting a sniff of the league whilst Pep and Mourinho remain in situ.

Questions should really be asked of Klopp and Pochettino. Why no trophies? But the media love these clubs so they’re hailed as geniuses whilst the managers that actually win trophies are labelled dinosaurs.

I don't think annyone is labelling Pep Guardiola a dinosour. That would be crazy, he's is a great coach. But when you have been able to spend over a billion euros on players in your career and have elite talent to work with, that comes with certain expectations, and there is nothing wrong with questioning him for the same issues he has had for 5 seasons in a row now, while working with some of the most talented squads in Europe. Whether people think it right or wrong, the pressure will be on in him a big way next season in europe, regardless of winning the league this season. He needs to take them forward in Europe, further than they got under Pellegrini. This is the trophy he'll be judged on at City, like with PSG, it's what they covert more. Like it or not, that's kinda how it is. In the same way different teams get judged, differnt coaches get judged too, as they all have differing resources and expecations upon them. But Pep knows this, he knew he was going there with the expectation of making them an European force.

Which would have made the score 5-2...

Probably not they would have been 2-0 up at half time (3-2 on agg) and he may not have then changed his tactics and formation in the 2nd half to allow them back into it.

The complexity of the game might have shifted. They were all over them in the first half.

Yep. While Mourinho can be a dislikeable tit because of his behaviour only a fool would deny that he is a top class manager. His record proves it.

Similarly some let their personal dislike of Guardiola get in the way of them recognising that he is a top class coach and his teams play great stuff. His record also proves that.
