Astounding.

I’d make that less money on midfielders and goal keepers than your drug peddler has spent. He’s had a far better return for it as well.

I wonder how pep would be doing if he didn't have the luxury position of outspending all his rivals year after year. Id imagine not too well, still hasn't won the champions league with City either

It's not easy to win the Champions League. Ferguson changed his style, personnel, everything about Utd to try and adapt for Europe and still only won it twice in 27 years, and but for 2 injury time goals in a game Bayern controlled and a John Terry slip he might never have won it.

Never been done before in the history of English football.
Not to mention the fist ever 100 points season in the PL.
History makers...

You should be thankful for Pep.
Without him Liverpool would have at least two more Premier League titles
and a Carabou Cup in the trophy cabinet at Anfield...

What will it be another 400 million on defenders this summer by Abu Dhabi , its not liitle city we afraid of its insane spending by Abu Dhabi and their sinister agenda
Naahhh...
Admit it. likkle citeh! the comedy club has come from nowhere and usurped you.
You just can't believe and accept it's happend. You are left with trophy less team, a crumbling stadium
and totally rancid owners. I know it must be tough mate, but you just gotta deal with it.

But you need to look at the wider agenda of Abu Dhabi and their financial doping making the Premier League more uncompetitive than ever , our own problems are well documented and after Fergus retired we were prepared for a downturn we can handle that , we have no divine right to win anything , if i was you though i would not be so cocky things can change quickly , it was only last Saturday when you were outplayed and lost to a superior team leaving you with still 0 European Cups

Let's have a serious conversation:
United have gone seriously downhill since Ferguson left and Mancini arrived at City. Mancini was the one who turned it around and showed that Ferguson was fallible. United refused to accept what was happening. Whilst City were putting in transformational amounts of investment into the club the United owners were sucking it out by the truck load. United's excellent PR team kept on spouting the media soundbites of 'the biggest club in the world' and the 'theatre of dreams' etc. with a compliant media to placate the fans and it worked. Whilst City started winning trophies, United were going through managers at the rate of knots: Moyes, Van Gall, Jose, Giggs and now Ole. They were on a serious downhill trajectory whilst City were going in the other direction. Eleven years later the battle has been won. The war is effectively over. United will never dominate like they did under Ferguson ever again. The problem United have, is they have a generation of fans who knew nothing else but winning trophy after trophy, year in, year out. Now the noisy neighbours are winning trophies year in and year out. It's difficult to accept I agree. You can bleat about the money all day long but it's not going to change anything. United have wasted the majority of their transfer spend. City haven't. All empires eventually crumble and die and City's empire will also one day. However, that day is still very far away. If the Sheik had taken over United and installed Pep then they would be the most dominant club in world football by some considerable distance. But he didn't. Thanfully, he chose City. The the ambition is still the same. I'm not joking when I say we have only just begun. The City Football Group is coming together. The club is profitable and sustainable. It has a long term plan and strategy. United's only plan is to milk the club and it's fans for all they can whilst they can and they are pretty blatant about it. The tectonic plates of football have shifted and they are not shifting back anytime soon. When it comes to success on the pitch and winning trophies the job is done. What eventually follows is a world-wide fan base and exposure (as an old time 'legacy fan' that's not what I want) and it will come if things continue as they are. United didn't see City coming or they simply refused to believe that it would happen (as per the 'not in my lifetime' comment by Ferguson). Arrogance, complacency and greed is a sure fire recipie for any business to go badly wrong and that is exactly what has happened.
