Guardiola to be found out in the premier league

Say what you want about him, but Klopp has shown himself to be the far superior manager.

Pep needs a billion quid or ready made world class players. He also doesn't have a plan B In games, sticks to the same tactics and play no matter what.he is very Silva/Martinez like that.

Where's Klopp plays a variety of different styles and tactics, from target men to quick and nimble etc depending on the opposition.

All of the team's he has managed have been ready made for him, even this man City side, most of there important players were there well before him. Same with Bayern and barcelona.

Obvously still a great manager, but what has made him great is his choice of clubs. He will pick the next obvious club (Juventus or PSG) and win a crap load again, simply because they are already the dominant clubs, with lots of money to spend.

Much prefer/respect managers like Carlo and Klopp that actually want to build a team and club.

He will leave man City in a worse state that when he came, Silva is aging, Aguero is aging, company has left, there defence is worse than ever even after spending 300+ million etc

All in all, after spending 800+ you can't really say he has done that much better than the managers before him considering the outlay.

What team did Carlo build? Im not saying anything negative about him, but I love quick this board changes.

The RS don't win the league for 2 years and he's a god. Now he can't help you mercenaries and he's crap.

So Pep flopped at Bayern but Ancelotti is great. Got it.

The team is burned out. They need a rebuild which Pep won't be apart of. They went through their cycle. He won 2 out of 3 years, maybe 4. I'm not looking it up.

But yea, total fraud that Pep is. What a joke.
If he is not capable of rebuilding a side thats quite a big cross against his ATG status

LFC wouldn't be where they are now if VVD had suffered a long term injury at the start of the season and Mane had been in and out the team all season through injury. That's what Guardiola has had to deal with with Laporte and De Bruyne

At the end the day, Klopp and Guardiola are a cut above the rest. Admit it, move on

I didn't say either was a success there, they achieved the bare min winning domestic trophies, Teams like PSG/Bayern/Madrid/Barca/Juve are wanting champions league glory, that's why they sack managers who don't achieve it

Since he left Barca and the utter ridiculous wealth of talent he had he's flopped massively in Europe getting knocked out by Spurs/Liverpool/Madrid/Barca/Althletico in the latter stages

Do you not think he'd be expected to win league titles here after spending 700m in three seasons on a squad that already consisted of Aguero/Kompany/KDB/Silva/Sterling/Toure/Fernandino/Navas/Zabaleta

I hope we find a way to find him out on Wed.

City need, for them, a rebuild, they're still pretty good, but some have retired, will retire or have peaked and need replacing.

Hes a bit of a template manager and that template originates with the Barcelona of messi, iniesta etc. While he can buy a number of players close to the former in terms of standard he cant buy 11 of them. Hence the decline in performance over the longer term.

Hes also a bit of an intense so and so and that probably tires some of the team out mentally.

I still stand by what I said at the start of this post. Yes guardiola had a great 2 seasons and you can't dispute that but he still hasn't won the champions league with city which is a flaw and I dont think he will this season either.

His team has shown absolutely no fight whatsoever this season in the title challenge and looked very weak. I dont buy into that city should struggle if 2 big players got injured. they won the league before laporte was signed and de bruyne is very important yes, however they have spent far more than anyone else and should still have enough quality to dispense of the likes of norwich who they got beaten by.

Hes a good manager by all accounts but he also has lots of flaws and I believe if you gave him a different job like the everton job he would fail. Just like he looked like doing so after his first city season until he spent about 300 million more than everyone else to give his team a significant advantage.

Pep has just gone stale really. He has been a breathe of fresh air in the PL but all managers and systems eventually meet their demise.

He is a moan though which is really off-putting. He can't moan about injuries when he has £50 million defenders sitting on the bench every game yet he still does. He comes across as petulant and certainly isn't gracious in defeat.

Talk to me about net spend...

One of the biggest myths in world football

Spent 700m + in three seasons and the team is a shambles

Luckiest manager alive picking up that Barca side containing Messi/Inesta/Xavi/Puyol/Pique to name a few

Flopped at Munich and City in Europe getting is arse handed to him by Madrid/Liverpool/Spurs/Barca and Athletico Madrid
This type of stuff makes the debate absurd. I think it's fair to say he's underwhelmed in Europe in recent seasons without throwing around labels like 'shambles' and 'myth'. He's a generation-defining manager who makes good players better. He's not perfect and there are aspects to his long-term management that will remain in question, but his impact on footall has been immense.
