I'd expect this to be a very unlikely scenario, even more so if England were to win today, as surely they'd want to face easier opponents in the last sixteen.

The last eight opponents if Brazil come first in their group (quite possible) and Germany second in theirs (more than likely) are probably far easier, the last sixteen if Japan or Senegal may not be that much difference

Second looks a potentially better place to finish atm

Would like to see Felli starting and KDB playing further up, Carrusco is the weak link in that side and should be dropped to accommodate, Dembele is the other option but with Kompany out Felli defends set pieces better. Great options to have though, hopefully martinez is not the same stubborn guy who managed everton and shows some flex
