Add Sterling and Young to that and you can see why they'll struggle to get far in the knock-out stages

We know we wont go far in the k/o stages, but England do not have any depth in quality. In one way im glad we didnt win by 3 or 4 - as imo we deserved to - as the written media would be in overdrive. Good 25 plus minutes, a little stagnated in the 2nd half, but kept going and got the 3 points.

After watching Panama against Belgium, I would like to see Vardy up top with Kane.

Panama sits very deep and he won't have much space to run, but it might be good to get him some minutes against them. Use Vardy against Belgium, they leave so much space open on their flanks.

...and here’s me thinking Sterling is tremendous. I’m a huge fan but I agree he was poor the other night.

Regardless, just looked for the first time at the knockout stages and if the get through it appears to me as though England will play Senegal or Japan. I don’t think they could’ve asked for better than that.
