Stuart Armstrong is a better player than Raheem Sterling.

He genuinely is really good. I've said on here he's a really underappreciated footballer.

I do like Watkins. Potentially a really top striker. That Armstrong lad at Southampton doesn't get the recognition he deserves. Excellent player.

ITV and England is a perfect match. Crap manager, crap team, crap analysis. The Czechs showed the Scots up for who they are, and Croatia will probably do the same, but England make them look like contenders.

The problem with this England squad is that there are a lot of decent players, but really none that are truly brilliant footballers. Maybe Kane when fully fit. Maybe Foden someday. But they don’t seem that hard to shut down as long as the opponent is disciplined. Like if you’re France or Belgium or Germany, who in this team really scares you?

They have good players but a gaping hole right in the middle of the park. No one with the vision or frankly the ability to orchestrate it and join it all together.
