I think this tournament is a tipping point. It makes no sense to play it in Qatar, but the "rules" and VAR decisions make even less sense and I've been watching the game for over 40 years. VAR is actually opening FIFA up to more - not fewer - allegations of corruption. It's a tool being used badly and for all the wrong reasons.
