I said in work today to uninterested Americans (just humouring me) that it would be a draw and the main results for both teams will be against Iran.
We have to assume both teams will lose to England so need to smash Iran.

We will see if England played well or as expected when Iran face Wales and USA. Think Iran will not be afraid of those teams

Iran is usually decent defensively and is IMO similar to Canada who booted the US back to mexico in qualifying. I don't think they are a gimmie for either US or Wales but its a must win, perhaps by at least 2 goals for either.

USA were terrible. 1-1 was a fair result in the end.

They could barely get out of their half mate. Moore hold up play was causing them all kinds of problems. They were knackered after the way they pressed wales constantly in that 1st half.

True, having just rewatched the highlights neither of the first two goals were defensive errors, they just were very good goals. After that I think Iran’s heads fell off a bit though
