Switzerland had some tough luck with good players deciding to play for the countries they or their parents come from, although admittedly the only good player they would benefit from is Rakitic.

As for the attack I don't know why Switzerland brings out so many great defense and midfield talents like Mbabu or Zakaria, but no good striker. Vargas and Okafor are like the biggest promises right now, but they are far from top talents. Swiss top clubs could be helpful if they let play some talented young strikers too. Only Lausanne in the CL have some good young Swiss strikers.

I don't agree. Rakitic is the most glaring example but more often than not, many Suisse born internationals opt to play for Suisse rather than that of their parents country. Current Nati is filled with players from Balkans and Africa who are part of a generation of refugees granted asylum in the country

Biggest problem the Suisse has in terms of their play (Which is actually quite strong in general considering our size) is a lack of a bonafide goalscorer. Alex Frei was probably the last prolific scorer and it's been a decade since he retired. Seferovic does great in Portuguese league but can be woeful for La Nati. Drmic was promising but he has been inconsistent due to injuries. Embolo is the great danger but many young players coming through Swiss German academies are beginning to make fans take notice like Zeqiri. I don't agree it is Lausanne with good strikers but Young Boys along with Basel that are known for their youth development

The good is that there are always young talents coming along in Switzerland, the bad is that there are few veterans in that role of quality

Think Wales will get through to latter stages, either as runners up or best placed as third.

Think you could be wrong there.

By far the weakest team on paper. Switzerland are solid, if nothing but. Turkey will be used to the heat/humidity and I think it’s fairly close to the Turkish border so I assume they will almost have it like a home game (certainly against Wales and Switzerland).

Expect Wales to go out, won’t be as cut and dry as being terrible, but they just don’t have the quality outside of Bale (is he fit?) Ramsey (he’s definitely not fit) and maybe Brooks?

Not the best preparation for Wales, pumped 3-0 by France then held to a 0-0 by the might of Albania. They need to get off to a good start next Saturday or they might be in trouble
