My middle child came home today, after her Year 6 SATS, to proudly tell me that bees actually have smelly feet and this is a huge factor in their productivity.

Apparently, this means that after pollinating a plant other bees know that it will have little or no nectar, which ultimately means it will likely to have been fertilised.
