they lent us 4 billion plus, only just paid back , we actually got more aid than the Germans from the USA , i just like having a pop at them, we were actually were owed more than we got off them by other counties, but as we were near bankrupt from the first/ second world war we didnt have the room to maneuver, we should have withdrawn from the empire at the time and rebuild .The Marshall plan?

i didnt put it well we should have withdrawn from are overseas role as policeman to a third of it and concentrated on rebuilding are core industry, Suez canal ect did us no good, we should have been a bit more insular. list of wars after ww2Confused with last bit mate " we should have withdrawn from empire..." ?

Yep. Although it would appear that member states felt it was okay to bail out their own banks who were ridiculously irresponsible in their lending to Greece. They won't however accept that in doing so, it was they who were making the big mistake. All well and good blaming the Greek government, but it's serious deflection from the root cause. Now we are getting to the root of the issue, i.e. the banks. Not the EU and the euro.

60% of your company's revenues are in Euro's, Euro had fallen by 10% v Sterling since January 1. A hedge would have saved your 6% drop in total revenues....
