Player of the Season: Leighton Baines.
Runner-up: Sylvain Distin.

Young Player of the Season: Seamus Coleman.
Runner-up: Jack Rodwell (Does Fellaini count? if so i'd go for him instead)

Goal of the Season: Bilyaletdinov v Wolves.
Runner-up (1): Baines v Man City.
Runner-up (2): Arteta v Man United.

And now for the other awards, feel free to add any

- Unsung Hero:
Jermaine Beckford - 9 goals a very good return so far for somebody jumping two leagues, not only that but his actual football has improved vastly.

Beattie and Johnson, a combined total £12-15 million got 11 and 12 goals in their first seasons respectively, well in Jermaine!

- Best/Worst Home Game: Best - Everton 2 - Liverpool 0
Worst - Everton 1 - West Brom 4

- Best/Worst Away Game: Best - Man City 1 - Everton 2
Worst - Bolton 2 - Everton 0

- Additional Comments:
Moyes stubborness not to play 4-4-2 with Beckford complimenting Saha/Yakubu more often was galling, Arteta has been abysmal for the most part, Heitinga is a bell.

- Best/Worst Away Game: BEST - Wolves vs. Everton, WORST - Bolton vs. Everton

-Performance of the Season: A performance full of passion and flair to beat Tottenham during a bad period of form in January.

- Additional Comments:

David Moyes has shown his ineptitude when things are expected of him once more, with tactical blunders earlier in the campaign blunting us. As much as I'd like to be confident going forward, I have to say that I believe a prolonged period of utter mediocrity is ahead for the club and its fans.

Player of the Season: Leighton Baines
Runner-up: Sylvain Distin

Goal of the Season: Leighton Baines vs Chelsea, FA Cup 5th Round Replay
Runner-up (1): Diniyar Bilyaletdinov vs Wolves
Runner-up (2): Jermaine Beckford vs Blackpool

- Unsung Hero: Leon Osman

- Best/Worst Home Game: Liverpool/WBA

- Best/Worst Away Game: Chelsea in the Cup/Bolton

- Save of the Season:

-Performance of the Season: Louis Saha vs Blackpool

- Additional Comments:
Cahill and Fellaini both had a shout for runner-up to Baines at one point or another but Distin's continued excellence in their absence means he takes it.

Shame that Jack Rodwell is making so few appearances in the young player of the season category. Who would've thought that back in August?

I can't look past Baines' free-kick against Chelsea in the cup for goal of the season and I expected everyone else to feel the same. Maybe the result against Reading the following week took the shine off it but I don't think I've ever gone as mad when a goal's gone in at the match before. Was only my third away trip an' all xD.

Had to leave out a few other good goals to include Beckford's against Blackpool in the top 3 (i.e. Beckford v Bolton, Arteta v Liverpool, Baines v Spurs, Baines v Man City, Saha v Spurs, Saha v Blackpool, Neville v Wolves) but I loved that goal. Was the moment when he won me over I think. Can't recall seeing an Everton striker pull off such an elegant finish in my time following them.

Osman should walk the unsung hero category. Even when he wasn't in the best form earlier in the season he made a couple of important contributions, like the assist for Beckford's goal away to Liverpool, but since we've lost Arteta and Cahill in recent weeks he proper stepped up and exceeded the form shown by either of the two all season. He's racked up the goals and assists in the last month or so and he's been the driving force behind our mini-resurgence. Reminds me of that month-or-so this time last year when he was the best player in the world for a couple of weeks as we beat Man U, Lisbon and Chelsea back to back. Go 'ed Leon lad.

I sincerely can't remember any boss saves this year. Soz T-Ho.

Home and Away games pick themselves. Won't forget that Chelsea trip for a long time. Met Derek Temple on me way out the ground to round it all off too. What a gentleman, sitting in the away end with the supporters 40 years on. Me dad went all hushed and reverent, it was boss.

Saha's 4-goal haul against Blackpool takes the performance of the year award. Notable mentions to Yakubu v Liverpool, Baines v Chelsea and Arteta v Newcastle.

Even a ****e season is loads of fun to look back on. How boss are Everton.

Young Player of the Season: Seamus Coleman
Runner-up: Magaye Gueye? We've really blooded so few players this year. A wasted opportunity, really.

Goal of the Season: Baines vs Chelsea
Runner-up (1): Bilyaletdinov vs Wolves
Runner-up (2): Phil Neville vs Wolves

- Unsung Hero: Sylvain Distin - He was disliked by a lot of the fans for a long, long time. I've had to fight his case umpteen times. It seemed as though whenever he made one mistake people would jump on it, and ignore all the good things he did. However, nowadays, I think most fans rate him, so mission accomplished!

- Best/Worst Home Game:
Best - Liverpool (2-0)
Worst - West Brom (1-4)

- Best/Worst Away Game:
Best - Man City (2-1)
Worst - Bolton (0-2)

- Save of the Season: Tim Howard vs United I think it was? I remember he made a boss save in that game. One which we eventually came from 1-3 down to draw 3-3. Awesome.

-Performance of the Season: Baines vs Man City. He started the move which Cahill buried for the opener, and then dashed around their area to latch onto a ball from Cahill, and he buried it with consummate ease and perfect swerve. With his right foot. He then played his part in a backs against the wall defensive performance to hold onto the lead, after Anichebe got sent off (albeit harshly).

- Additional Comments: Baines has probably been our best player, without context, but I'm giving it to Distin. For a 33 year old, Distin has played out of his skin, and shown more pace and strength than players 10 years his senior. He's a beast.
