I can not remember many games in the last ten years (in a competitive match) where I said at the final whistle "England played well". Three or four times, not many.
I expect very little and this way I tend not to be dissappointed!

I try my best to support England albeit from my settee and support them fully in principle.

I can live with the someone like Glen Johnson in the team although I just can't get myself motivated to want Gerrard to anything other than break his legs when playing for them. I've tried to rationalise this hatred for him but I just can't.

Meh, I think of it as making sacrifices to achieved the goal. I hate Gerrard as much as anyone else, but as soon as he's representing my country we have a common interest and I can tolerate that.

I want to want to think like that. My head tells me to, but my heart overtakes. In the last tournament I even put on money for Gerrard to score as a way for me to will him on. It didn't work and he cost me money, grrr, so I hated him even more. I could have had curry on my chips that night if it wasn't for him....

I sort of consider international football a different sport, so im not too bothered if there are rs in the team. Saying that, I don't think I could bring myself support Andy Carroll

Doesn't really matter who's playing I'll still support the team and country as a whole.

Pienaar's a bellend yet we still support him.
