It's importantly to keep stability, but effectively we have the same team but Besic for Deulofeu. Signing Lukaku is hugely important, but for £28m, pehaps a tad too high, but again, Besic was a steal. No loans in as of yet, and i'd expect a few more to come in.

Our side is looking a lot more dense, with Kone, Gibson and McGeady all in from not being available from around about this time last year, so we'll see how it goes.

B+ at the moment, lets see how the loans are.
You were doing quite well there mate until you mentioned Kone.

Can't possibly vote. At this stage all we have done is make the squad equal to last season, swapping Besic(who looks a good buy) for Delofeou. Still think we are lacking on the creative side and a striker.

Happy with business done 'so far' but need more before the window closes definitely.

Given an A on the basis most of our strength has been consolidated. It will mean a lot over the next 2 years.

Although things could change however I see bobby adding another striker and winger before transfer window closes…

anyone who votes A or even B needs a reality check

we've not gained at all in numbers and lost out in a position of more importance than we've gained in terms of what we already had (winger/midfielder)

Bingo

Great signing Lukaku up, In fact it was massive, But the fact remains we are no better off than we were last season

We need a winger/Striker and a RB before this window closes

Keeping the manager & important players from last season = A

Giving the academy players a chance and adding to our U21s for the furture = A

Building on last years squad with senior additions = C
Besic looks a fantastic purchase at a bargain price but he's the only one so far.

Overall A-

I gave a B+ because the Lukaku signing represents a departure of sorts from the small club scaredy cat mentality that has been plaguing Everton for about fifteen years now. But I believe our expenditure, both recent and accumulative over the past 10 years, will still be a negative net spend. Lukaku has been signed with the Fellaini, Anichebe and Jelavic money.

Definitely a D - although this can be iproved upon by signing at least two more players, including a top class goal scorer.

Four players in - two were here last season and two are kids from the Hungarian league and MK Dons.

Exciting, it isn't.

B- , and that's on the assumption that we get at least a couple more additions to the squad who will either challenge for a place or are decent deputies. We're going into the season needing extra bodies to cope with European footie and, so far, we have the same number of realistic first teamers as we finished last season with. A couple of the U21's may well come through but we need more depth than they'll give us.

If we don't get a couple more players who can walk into the senior squad, then I'd call it a "C".
