It all depends on what their long term plans for ryback are. If they are serious about his push and see a future for him in the main event he simply has to win, if he's just a short term thing to cover for cena then he should lose.

You forget. WWE are mental and rarely think past the next PPV unless its a major star (Rock, Cena, Punk). I'm convinced they have no clue what they're doing with Ryback.

What even is the point of the IC and European belts anymore, especially the European belt. Absolutely no credibility for them, at least the WWE are trying to make the tag division relevant again.

Seriously, throw the IC or Euro belt on Bryan, Cena or even someone like Lesnar and have him defend it once every 3 months or something.

You're right - there's no point in the European belt.

Which is probably why there isn't a European belt!

I certainly think the US & IC titles could be merged. Cesaro is doing absolutely nothing with the US belt at the moment, same as Marella before him, and they have no plans for it in the short or long term, that much is clear.

My predictions for HIAC:

Team Hell No vs Rhodes Scholars= Cody and Sandow after Matt Striker interferes
Kofi vs Miz- Kofi
Orton vs Del Rio- Orton
Sheamus vs Big Show- Sheamus
CM Punk vs Ryback- Ryback
There will probably be a divas title match as well, if so I'll go with Eve

There should be a triple threat TLC match for the tag titles at the rumble, though with the PPV TLC around that date it won't happen.

I'd scrap the US title and bring back the crusierweight title back.

That would allow mid carders to compete for the IC and then lower stars to compete and actually get TV time.

I too would scrap the US Title. But think Cesaro is showing some promise. Remember it's still early days for him and his character.

The reason the US and Intercontinental title are there is that they are supposed to be split one on Raw one in Smackdown, but as that never happens whats the point?!

The Intercontinental title is very important though. The perfect stepping stone to better things.

Like the idea of bringing the Cruiserweight Belt back. There's enough smaller guys to make it work.

Heck, go the whole Hogg and bring the Hardcore title back!

It seems unlikely Ryback would lose, they need to keep his Goldberg-like streak going. I find it very strange they are pushing Ryback at this time with Linda McMahon's political campaign in full flow, the last thing she needs is being questioned about the unnatural size of one of her/her family's company's stars.

I've always thought the plan was for Punk to keep the title until Royal Rumble before dropping the belt to The Rock, who will give Cena his win back at 'Mania.

I would like to see the Cruiserweight division back in WWE, but management have never been into smaller wrestlers. They certainly have plenty of talent signed in developmental.

There are plenty of good cruiserweight matches in TNA/ROH/PWG/CHIKARA/NOAH and NJPW. Some of them are free on youtube.

I don't think it can go over PG rated, not for a long while. They have far too many lucrative contracts (Mattel in particular) that demand the product be PG. Losing those contracts would cost them millions.

I've a soft spot for Cesaro since i watched him wrestle at a deathmatch show in colchester a few years ago and he was great, hope he does well in WWE cause he's good enough.

As for the IC and US titles, back in the day when they actually meant something both titles (in WWF and WCW) were great for helping put guys over on their way to the world title, or even making lower card guys important. But these days they're pretty much redundant, any idiot can hold them and no one really gives a damn who that is.

Cesaro may be a good technician (sp) but as a character he's absolutely awful.

I really would like to see the cruiserweight title back, guys like Kaval got released because WWE couldn't get him in their programme.

Gabriel, Sin Cara, Kidd, Santino, Uso's, Mysterio, Ryder etc could all make that division interesting.
