They build up Lesnar as an unstoppable monster for around three years, then have him squashed by a guy coming in for one appearance.

He'll get mega heat for that hopefully. Accidents happen, but that was totally avoidable. Far too stiff and far too high. Unprofessional.

I beg to differ. Shane agreed to the spot and it was always gonna be difficult to execute a mid-air spear without it being nasty.

Having said that, I'm sure I saw him legitimately smash someone in the face in that match.

Apparently he's signed a contract for the Royal Rumble as well, so this squash will probably be part of a storyline leading up to the Rumble (or Mania, as rumors say he's part of the rumble match, where my guess is he'll be screwed by Lesnar) where he'll lose to Brock.

On reflection, I liked it

They can easily excuse it as Brock taking him lightly and build to a rematch

New Japan had Vader annihilate Inoki in his debut, and it didn't kill Inoki as a draw

I just thought SS was not what the 4th biggest show of the year should be. There seemed too much story progressing which is what the weekly's are for. Not the huge PPVs.

I'm not too bothered that Goldberg won, because well honestly who really cares?

NXT was great. That 2/3 tag match was exceptional.
