Problem with the ascension was people didn't take to them due o them looking like a full on knock off version of the road warriors. Dudleys should have at least had a little bit of a run with the title then lost it again to new day

Can't really compare Enzo and Cass to The Ascension. E & C are much more crowd friendly but can do heel/face turns at will.

The Ascension could and should have been brilliant - but they were ruined by two things.
Firstly, the original member was sacked by the WWE and the replacement wasn't quite as good. Second, Vince obviously hated them and decided they'd be Legion of Doom jobbers mk2.
Shame. In NXT they were brilliant.

Who was this. They were just coming to the end of their run when I started watching NXT, and like others on here they looked really good to me. Size and ability, and a good look. Perhaps that look was too much of a problem on the main roster.
