I'd pay vast amounts to watch celebrity rock-paper-scissors to be fair
We should just not bother with football at all these days, we'd stand a much better chance if the first team came out to a big cage in the centre circle one at once for a quick best of three with his opposite number. They could have their own entrance music and Besic could take a Step Ladder out to the centre with him, then bring it back when he's done.

Ditch the stadium idea, have it set in a proper run down boozer where you can barely see through the smoke as you make your way across the garish 80's carpet that's been patched up with gaffer tape. The contenders can make their entrance through the cloud of smoke generated by the two old boys that have been sat at the bar for 6 days straight, we could run events around the country for very little outlay.

no, mate, it's officially just that. Sports come under much more scrutiny/regulation in the States than they do here, its a betting/match fixing thing. If they don't claim it's a sport where there is an element of competition, then they can do what they want.

The Wrestling' was re-branded as Sports Entertainment years ago.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_entertainment

The World Wrestling Federation coined the term "sports entertainment" during the 1980s as a description for their style of professional wrestling, although precursors date back to February 1935, when Toronto Star sports editor Lou Marsh described professional wrestling as "sportive entertainment". In 1989 WWF used the phrase in a case it made to the New Jersey Senate for classifying professional wrestling as "sports entertainment" and thus not subject to regulation like a directly competitive sport.
Some sports entertainment events represent variants of actual sports, such as exhibition basketball with the Harlem Globetrotters association, orAmerican football with the Legends Football League. Others modify sport for entertainment purposes: many types of professional wrestling (which derived from traditional wrestling), and more recently many of the various mascot races held at numerous Major League Baseball games in-between innings.[1]
Some forms of sports entertainment involve taking competitive games usually considered minor, such as dodgeball, poker, or rock-paper-scissors, and televising them with trumped-up theatrics, involving (for example) celebrity competitors or elaborate audiovisual packages.
just corporate talk to allow them to steal money from real sportsman, and allow the bookies to make from it, corrupt as hell the whole situation, put it on dave or whatever, don't use TV money allocated to sports that could really help grass roots sports and make a difference far bigger than waving a foam hand and prolonging your virginity

So Triple H is married to Stephanie McMahon, that's real isn't it. That's a proper thing, love and stuff.

Is she still a part of it? What about Shane does he still feature?

Do you think it's confusing for them knowing what is real and what is fake?

Like at Thanksgiving does Triple H forget it's not part of the show and this is Atalanta real life and pedigree Vince through the dining room table?

LOL - I quite enjoyed it.

@Ashtonian without a clue as always it seems. At least he watched it for once hey.

Ambrose and Owens was great. Ambrose growing on me again after I had got a little bored of him. Styles looked good, but I would have saved him for full on Bullet Club entry later down the line. Ah well. The sooner Zayn gets in full time the better too.

Good womens match, finally giving Sasha the push. Thank goodness.

I can see why people are miffed at HHH winning, but as it was kind of obvious i'd made my peace with it already. It's really not that bad a thing. If Reigns had won people would have moaned. If Wyatt had won, people would have moaned. So eff all of you. The boss won. Sniff it.

Oh, and i'm flagging soooo man posts in here. Get ready @mods.

This was a serious question about the mental health of wrestlers btw.

Steph is still part of it, not wresltling though, and yes she's married to Triple H for realz. Shane isn't part of it anymore.

And no, it's like being an actor. Do you think Daniel Radcliffe sits at home trying to make his tea magically appear with a wand?

It's a bit different from being an actor, how long are actors preparing for a role? These guys live their roles for their entire careers on the road for most of the year, sometimes doing 2 shows a week pushing themselves to the limit physically all whilst wearing budgie smugglers and make up, surely that's got to have a strain on their mental health. Where does the job end and life begin?

Did the WWF ever do anything about Chris Benoit, are they not partly responsible for what happened after all the times they hit him over the head with a steel chair?

Not taking the piss here, just interested in the mental well being of wrestlers.
