GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Really enjoyed my first time at a wwe event!! The tournament has some poor wrestlers in it but not much they can do.. Bad news or Cesaro should be champion! But obviously Cesaro is out as he has Reigns next!

Perfectly reasonable publicity stunt & quite amusing to most people.

It's why WWE had revenue of $166m in the last 3 months and made a profit of over $10m, through doing stuff like this.

It is for WWE, first time in a few years they've exceeded the shareholder dividend payout trigger of $9.1m in a quarter. All the shareholders were made up as they got their dividend payouts.

People can take the piss all they like but WWE is a massively popular global business that turns over hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

They're miles ahead of the curve when it comes to business. Live events every day of the week, upwards of 12 PPV / special events a year, a worldwide touring schedule and a merch department that pisses over any other sports/entertainment out there. They've stuck their neck out and risked their biggest income stream (PPV) to pursue running their own online network. In 10/15 years most** sports will look to follow this model, I'm certain of it.

**Boxing may well be the only exception, as we've seen with Mayweather one fight has the ability to generate an obscene amount of money

There is next to no audience here and this is a ppv! I mean literally you have no cheering or anything, and the most hammy play acting just to get some reaction from the 10 people there.
 
Billy Gunn just got fired by WWE. Apparently he does (or did) powerlifting in his spare time and failed a drugs test for PEDs a few weeks ago, and got banned from powerlifting for 4 years. WWE only just found out about it so they fired him. He's been working as a trainer in NXT.

The guy is aged 52 and on PEDs.

When he does them now it looks as if his knees are about to give way.. Surely he can't go on much longer

I liked that they teased a possible heel turn, and I thought HHH set this storyline up very well....the storyline now is simple, does Reigns take HHH's help to win the title....or does Ambrose sell out and take Rollins spot as HHH's guy.....
Why throw this storyline away just because the internet predicted it?...
