I actually never knew the build up to that match. Like why it was happening.

There's a bit on Wikipedia about it but, basically, they brought in Williams, 'Dr Death,' with a high profile but couldn't get him over with the fans. So they wanted to work him into a legit shoot-style angle to show how tough he was, but he got his arse handed to him by Gunn. Rumours are WWE execs didn't like it and hired Butterbean to stiff him at Wrestlemania as punishment.

Yeah remember all that....JR brought him in & he flopped.....was a strange tournament, but the midcarders got a decent pay day....was interesting seeing not just Dr Death get clocked...but remember Godfather & JBL getting knocked out to.....was a fairly boring tournament mainly, but the knock outs were cool.....The Butterbean Gunn fight was such a stupid idea, you did feel he was being unfairly punished.....which was poor form from wwe because I thought it made every wrestler look weak compared to boxers....

Correct. I don't think the Brawl 4 All was the best idea, but it could have been salvaged if they pushed Gunn off the back of it as a hard man fighting machine. Give him a single punch finisher as a wrestler or whatever.

Feeding him to Butterbean was the worst call of the entire thing.

Yeah agreed....main problem for Bart Gunn though was, he actually had worse mic skills than Billy....but if turned heel with a manager to do his talking , he could have had a decent run off the back of Brawl for All....

Worst thing they did with Brawl for all was not fix it, the amount of injuries was ridiculous. Crazy decision really even though it probably would have sucked even more, the sponteaneous of it was what made it decent.

A lot of the matches were awful and the crowd crapped all over them but a few of them were decent fights and got the crowd going.

They should have done more with Bart Gunn after obviously but as it wasn't their idea for him to win they were too stubborn to try and capatalise on it. Admittedly it's highly unlikely he'd have drew any actual money and just floated around the mid card but they should at least have tried.

Moving on....

They held the NXT tv tapings last night, and the main event for the next Takeover special on October 7th is Bayley vs Sasha Banks in a 30 minute Iron-Woman match for the NXT Womens title.

First time the NXT women have main evented a major special. Well deserved, if it's anything like their match in Brooklyn they'll tear the house down.
