GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

There are rumours doing the rounds about why Brock Lesnar wasn't on Raw on Monday despite being at the arena. Given his deal with WWE it seems odd they would have him fly to Nashville but not use him.

Anyway, a "reputable source" on Reddit (who apparently has previous with breaking insider WWE news) has said that Roman Reigns has failed a drugs test. WWE found out on Monday morning but decided against suspending him (for obvious reasons I guess). Brock found out and stormed off refusing to work with him that night.

Now this is all a rumour at this point and it comes from Reddit. However, Dave Meltzer, who is very well known and a solid source did say that something happened with Brock on Monday at Raw over an issue that WWE didn't want getting out. So the rumour could have legs. Who knows anyway but maybe we will see Bryan in the main event at Mania after all.

Wouldn't shock me about Reigns.

He's go that look.

And fair play to Brock for not playing if this is true.

Story is that because Brock is looking at going back to UFC he doesn't want to be associated with someone who has failed a drugs test. Normally this probably wouldn't be an issue but with Anderson Silva and other high profile failures recently I can understand the thinking.

If it is true and Vince keeps Reigns in tk for Mania then it's a pretty terrible message to send out.

But I guess we'd never really know for sure.

Just read that allegedly Brock wants Cena or Bryan in his place. Again all conjecture but Bryan would be a lot easier to fit in than Cena!

The Reddit source was a brand new account and didn't verify himself for hours.

There's only one Reddit source and that wasn't him. Really interesting though if Reigns has failed a drugs test.

Ah ok, more likely to be rubbish then. Clearly something has gone on though as they wouldn't just not use Lesnar on one of his appearance dates. Be interesting to find out what it is.

It's fan fiction regarding Reigns failing a drugs test. If he had done so, WWE would be obliged to disclose this information, as they have done many times previously when someone has failed a test. If they didn't and it came out they were covering it up, can you imagine the scandal?

The Brock thing is more than likely money-related. The 1 year anniversary of the WWE Network was on Monday, and many of the talent received paychecks related to that. Brock more than likely wasn't happy with the money he was given.

They've covered it up before

When Orton got suspended back in 2006, they had him work Mania and a few Smackdowns after before finally suspending him

I doubt they'd let Reigns work Mania if he failed a test though, unless the plan would be to have him win the title and then have Rollins immediately cash in to win followed by an injury angle that put him out for a month or so

You're absolutely right, but I meant in the modern era, post Benoit from 2007 onwards when there's been more scrutiny.

Hell, I'm old enough to remember them covering up Sid Justice failing a drugs test, 3 weeks before his WM8 match with Hulk Hogan back in 1992. They just ignored the test, did the match, had Sid go on the post-WM8 European tour... then suspended him when he got back to the U.S.

In recent years post-Benoit, due to the Congressional hearings into their practices, they haven't covered anything up. For example Jeff Hardy was pulled from WM24 3 weeks beforehand and given a 60 day suspension.

As I posted a few days back, they're really running with the Seth Rollins/Jon Stewart feud for WM31.

Rollins showed up at the end of Stewart's Daily Show last night, and Stewart will be appearing on Raw on Monday.

Stewart is going to be in Orton's corner vs Rollins at WM31.
