People got wet at Wrestlemania 29 - me! Well, only for a few minutes, at the start of the Miz vs Wade Barrett pre-show match. I think the rain thing/temperature thing is overblown. I remember sitting in Met Life Stadium in New Jersey legitimately freezing my arse off. It was actually warmer in London that day than it was in New Jersey.
The thing that has always stopped a worldwide pay-per-view being done over here has always been the time difference, and WWE's insistence it has to start at 7pm eastern in the U.S. (midnight U.K.). Otherwise it would hurt pay-per-view buys and less people would buy the show.
However, WWE have put all the 'ppv' shows on the WWE Network now, and aren't bothered about ppv revenue anymore, so the one barrier to a show taking place over here has gone now.
We'll definitely get a big ppv over here within the next 5 years, I guarantee it.

Think you mentioned it to me before but he's his own worst enemy. He's so bloody good at selling moves people forget how good offensively he is.
He has absolutely no faults. Only guy who I could say that about other than Ziggler is CM Punk. Even Bryan can be lacklustre on the mic at times and can have only two gears (sarcastic "hmmmm let me think..." or faux angry rants using catchphrases - not a criticism but he's not in the same league as Punk).
Also, completely unrelated, but Al Snow was ace and underrated.

Every wrestler has a natural spot on the card. While yes, Ziggler should be higher than he is and they're really not getting the most out of him with the back and forth booking of him, he is not a main event player in any way.
Like Ijjy says, his strong point is putting other people over and making them look good. He's been given the ball before and certainly didn't run with it so he's a semi main eventer at best and nothing more.
He doesn't have "it", he doesn't connect with the audience and draw them in well enough to be a main eventer.
With better less half arsed booking he'd be a solid level just under the main event and it's a shame to see him floundering in the mid card but it's hardly the bigest loss thats he's not.
Disagree really. I think you're judging him on his current and prior gimmicks - he was massively unfortunate when in the title picture and misused badly. But a guy who can pull promos like this:
... then there's definitely a main event spot. I mean, that's a main event gimmick right there. A radical, determined employee doing everything he can to make the top with a smouldering anger; not in the same way as Punk, not in a "I'm being held back" way, but as a guy who goes on a roll and keep reaching for the next brass ring.
When you have an upper card featuring the likes of Batista, Sheamus, that sort of lacklustre talent, and you have two major faces in CM Punk and Bryan out for a while, there seems to be a place there and of everyone on the roster Ziggler looks a natural fit to at least try with. I mean honestly, The Shield and Cena aside, there's absolutely nothing at the top tier right now in terms of faces, and nobody else who could be elevated.
You can sell moves as a face and be a massive benefit if you're painted as an underdog, and that's where his gimmick needs tweaking. The "show off" needs to go, and he needs to be given a "hard worker who has misused his natural talent but now everything has clicked and he's on track" kind of thing IMO.

Ok, he's a decent all rounder, and given a decent gimmick and faith from the writers he could become a main eventer.
But for me he's just not good enough and has been given chances. He's basically the Jack Rodwell of wrestling without the injuries. All the tools required to be a good wrestler , capable of moments of brilliance but always lacking that edge, that "it factor" to be the main man.
Like i said, they definitely should be doing better with him than they are, but unless he strikes gold with an absolute brillaint gimmick he's just not on that level to be a main eventer.

Forget Zigler, Barrett is where it's at. He needs pushing beyond the intercontinental title and onto the main events.
I watch every now and then so don't really know the ins and outs but with ziggler they are trying to recreate Mr. Perfect gimmick so much that they are even repeating the nonsensical lack of push and holding back job they did in 1989/90.
Ziggler should be main eventing yet some weeks he is not even on TV.
