GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

My biggest concern about having a woman's royal rumble match is that it will oversaturate the show. There's a reason we only have one Royal Rumble match a year and having two on the same card will only make the show over done. Will there even be any time for an undercard? And how about the practical problems of a woman's Royal Rumble, were are they getting the 30 woman from? Do they even have 30 woman on their books right now? (as we obviously have to exclude the two champions from this match) And how many of these woman can actually have an even non-embarrassing match anyway? WWE have a core of very good female wrestlers but then some truly terrible ones. The question is do they have enough talent to fill up an hour long (possibly longer) match. Yes I'm sure they can bring back plenty of talent such as Trish Stratus but I remain unsure if it'll be enough.

But then what about the world champion's? Surely they have to compete on the show in some way? Brock Lesner, no problem as he only works when he wants but surely they'll have to have AJ Styles involved in some way? How do they shoehorn him in? Because as your only fulltime on the road world champion he does have to be on this card. How can you fit five match's on the card with two rumbles on it?!

Maybe even 2 women’s title matches.
A tag match.
2 rumbles.

To be honest I could see them doing something mental and making it 4 hours long.

Yeah I see what you mean mate. Four hours for a Royal Rumble PPV though? You really think they'll go there? I don't see it myself but even if they did once we factor in the time length of two Royal Rumbles we'd still only have an hour at the very most to use. They can't even do champion vs champion match because that happened not so long ago at SS. Just seems to me like the show might drag a bit unless they're VERY prepared and let's be honest it's WWE we're talking about here. They aren't going to be prepared. I just honestly don't see were the time is coming from for all those match's your thinking of.

Yeah you got me I was taking the mick. However I would say that WWE upper management couldn't care less what the ICW thinks. They don't care about any 'backlash' they might face because all publicly is good publicly as far as they're concerned. The reason they wont do it is because the whole thing is clearly set up for Ronda Rousey to win imo.

Didn't they redo the womans MITB match on smackdown just after to make it right? Plus they might not care about people moaning on messageboards but it's more about not being seen to encourage or promote male on female violence which could bring negative publicity which hurts their family friendly image.

As for the actual match, they could easy fill 30 spots (if it is 30 rather then 20) between Raw, Smackdown, NXT, those from the MYC they liked and othr indies/returners/MMA. They might make it so its only 60 seconds per entrant and a Rumble is probably easier for a rookie to work than an actual match. Only needs to go 30-35 mins if they want.

Plus like Ijjy says they can always extend the show length if they want, anywhere between 3 and 4 hours.

Didn’t they make Summerslam last about 5 days this year? Felt like it anyway!

As a guess they’ll do:
Brock vs Strowman
Tag title match for one brand.
Styles vs some crap that won’t win.
Alexa vs someone crap that won’t win.
Maybe Charlotte as above.
Maybe US Title and Intercontinental matches.
Then the women’s rumble.
Then the men’s.

I could definitely easily see some of the people in the above matches being in the Rumbles too.

Yeah it's all well and good having the numbers which they might just be able to cobble together once they've brought back five or so "legends" but how many of those woman can carry themselves let alone anyone else to a decent match. As I said before WWE have some REALLY talented woman workers on their roster but more then half of them are simply terrible and putting them in a big match like this will expose them.

WWE can't be that worried about their image of men on woman violence and abuse of woman because the chairman's wife works for Donald F'N Trump!

A longer show will only drag and bore most casual fans (aka the ones they're trying to appeal to because they've got the hardcore fans regardless).

Your spot on it will be 30, it has to be 30! There would be no point in a 20 woman's rumble. They'd be better off not doing it at all then going in so half arsed.

The initial plan was only 20 mate.

I think they only have 23 women on the main roster as a whole.

In fact at the minute it’s still pencilled in as a 20 women match. But think they’ll change it to 30 and get some NXTers in it and couple of oldies.

I like the line up mate but I honestly don't see were the time is coming. Your looking at over two and a half hours of men and woman's royal rumble easily so even on a four hour show once they add in the usual backstage stuff you really don't have much time left.

I wouldn’t expect the women’s rumble to be anywhere near as long as the men’s either. They’ll get a few in there and someone like Nia Jax will eliminate about 9 in one go sort of thing.

Can honestly see it being 4 hours.

But it's a Rumble match. You put your good wrestlers in to work the main parts of the match and you put your not good wrestlers in there to spend 2 mins trying to throw someone over the top rope before being eliminated. Or if you want them to do a bit more it's easy to do a few well rehearsed spots.

It's really easy to hide someones flaws in a Rumble match, especially if they keep it short.
