Why does GOT keep going down... I know we are popular but bloody annoying..
It always seems to go down during match-time, usually as I'm about to post some shoite.
* is there such a thing as a " shoite " detector on here, perchance ?
You don't talk shoite. You talk sense. Wise old words, from a wise old man.![]()
Ahh , there must be a " sensible-post " detector which crashes the system if it spots a post which doesn't include the words " Bum " or "Bumming "
There is mate. That's why I do, what I do. For the good of the land.
And again.
Hate to break it to you D/D, but your forum: it got the AIDS.
Yeah it's grim. Victim of success no doubt. Paid server engineer to resolve. Damn Sunday being day of rest....
I hope you dock yourself a day's pay mate, and forfeit your bonus for the first quarter of this year.

I am sexy like.
We found that Apache connections were getting maxed out and thus Apache was getting restarted forcefully. Please see the attached error log(apache) snippet in this regard:
===
[Sun Jan 16 16:35:46 2011] [error] server reached MaxClients setting, consider raising the MaxClients setting
===
The Apache settings were:
MaxClients: 150 and ServerLimit 250
We have changed them to:
MaxClients: 512 and ServerLimit 768
After these changes were made, we monitored the server for a bit and the server seems stable, hardly going above 1.00.
We've also gone ahead and optimized MySQL and it's databases.
Let us know if you need any further assistance.
