Will do mate, and look forward to it when I do.

Doesn't that place get mauled by hurricanes, it's just so I know when to book my dates!

Just recently.

But not normally. Sept through Nov is hurricane season. Not normally when you're gonna be hanging out at the beach anyway.

One thing that Texas has better than our other 49 brethren.

Mexican Food.

Yeah, suck on that Connecticut !!!

Yes, jealousy brewed, right here.

Although I love just about all Mexican food, I prefer the Cali version over Tex-mex.

There is this street vendor in San Diego on Rosecrans Blvd (comes right out of the subase) that does the BEST Carne Asada burritos EVER!

Love it...the summers can kill, but you get used to it (ok, that's a partial truth). I'd die in Houston, I can't take heat AND humidity...ugh, I dunno how you deal with it.

You get used to the humidity.

Just know that if you go outside for anything in the summer that you'll be sweating in about a minute and will have to take a shower when you get back in.

Playing sports in Houston during the summer can be tough, even after the sun has gone down.

what's this thread about then, just a rundown of other participants endeavors?

from what I can ascertain it's an anything goes one again, they're like a dime a dozen or here perhaps.

er, snow came down again without warning, got a bit saturated, had a bottle of Italian wine on the way home, that just about made the conditions bearable, went home and started on some nachos, before shaving off a full beard and having like half a rain forest on my boat race in terms of paper.

I think that's all.
