could be worse, at least he didn't get one made by tesco

Tescos don't make anything ... they buy in something rubbish made by a peasant paid in beans, slap a badge on it and raise the price enough to make a killing yet still be cheap. Middle men, they don't do anything to improve the world but end up with all the money.

Hate Tescos. Why did you have to start me .... ruined my day now .....

I'd love to stay at Goodison, surely there is some way of renovating it. If the [Poor language removed] can do up Anfield surely we can do something with Goodison.

Goodison forever, if at all possible.

Even if it's knocked down and rebuilt, sorry, even if we take it to the watch fixer in Broadway and it's totally replaced, part by part.

There's something about the location, sorry, leather strap, that's magical and that I love.

I like Rotary, anyway....

A friend of mine once had to make a decision on wether to buy a timex or a rolex watch.
He consulted experts on this.

He was told that although much more expensive the rolex would bring him
much joy,great esteem,
and envy amongst his friends and.In general an overall feeling of well being.

He was also told that one day the rolex may be worth even more than he paid for it.

Alternatively he was told that the timex would do exactly what the rolex did.
Tell the time.
He was also told it may entail more maintenance ,lose time and could eventually break down.
But he was assured that it wouldnt happen in his lifetime.

My friend chose the timex.

Sadly many years later my friend passed away ..a pauper.
All he left for his family was a broken watch..
At least he showed he had TIME for his family.

Goodison....first choice

Anyone seen the Seattle Seahawks stadium, designed to be the loudest sports stadia in NA. It,s so fan loud they set off mini earthquakes and have a home win record second to none. They raise the 12th man flag before every home game to idenitfy the fans and they play a massive part in the game.

meanwhile suntan burns the lights at L4 wondering about new ideas and how find the money.

That stadium costs were an estimated $430M (~£260M) with $300MM (~£182M) in public financing (county bonds). A football stadium in Liverpool should cost less, but how much public financing is being provided? It's hard to compare stadium development between the two areas because so much US-based stadium development is publicly financed.

Also, I've never had a problem with any of the Timex Ironman watches I've had. If they broke, they broke through use and not poor workmanship. Not sure what the OP is on about.

They have more capital and crucially quite a bit more space too. Staying at a revamped Goodison is pie in the sky.
