Needed one last summer Martinez has fiddled while Howard burns....and done f all about it
But having made one mistake in not doing it last aummer, no point in making an even worse one by spending money on a poor one now. Especially when it is incredibly difficult to integrate anyhow as unlike outfield players they can't just be given 10 mins to gradually get up to speed.

Even good ones like De Gea can take ages to adapt.

Jurys out for now but no reason not to believe him...generally been pretty good.
 
To be fair, even some football teams use fifa and fm these days. Alot of research goes into those stats so it's at least an ok ish proxy indicator of a players ability.

Thing is we were never gonna spend big as were in the midst of being took over. Why would the existing owners spend money that they won't benefit from? Especially after they haven't put their hand in their pocket for the preceding sixteen years before that
