Good Everton teams who were not Everton proper players

If you are talking about everton players who are essentially legends of the game now, and came to us for one season or so but never “got us”, then I disagree with gazza. I think he got us and he still speaks very highly of us. I’m sure I read that he had lots of off pitch issues when he was with us and regrets how things happened.

I don’t see Keown and Lineker as being in the same category as thise other players mentioned.

Keown came to Everton an outstanding centre back, costing big money and he gained his first international caps here with us.

Lineker was a record signing in his prime who became a superstar due to his one season with us and the World Cup which came at the end of it.

The other boys were past their prime or just plain knackered when they came to us.
