ps I may be the only one in the world that thinks this, but Cash's version of Hurt is a shadow of the original.. Still good, but not even close to NIN's version.

A few that I really love that haven't been mentioned: Patti Smith did a great version of Smells Like Teen Spirit on her album Twelve. Also Neil Young's version of On Broadway on his album Freedom and Bryan Ferry doing These Foolish Things, Sympathy For The Devil and A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall on These Foolish Things album.
